Hand-crafted beers from
Silver City Brewing Company
Our hand-crafted beers are born in a three-vessel brewing system, using choice malted Organic barley and special grains. The brewing process consists of blending these with pure water to create our one-of-a-kind microbrews... and you'll taste the difference!

The first step in our brewing process is the selection of malted Organic barley and specialized grains as source material for our special brews. The brewing process consists of blending these crushed grains with water to create our malted extract in the Mash tun. Once the extract, now referred to as a wort, is created, it is brought to a boil and is steeped with hops in the Kettle.

Once the boil is completed, the wort is transferred through a heat exchanger into the Primary Fermenting Vessel. At this juncture, yeast is added and fermentation begins. Primary fermentation lasts three to four days. At this point, the product may be transferred into a different fermenting vessel or remain in the original fermenting vessel and the beer undergoes secondary fermentation.

After completion of secondary fermentation, the liquid is transferred into kegs and is ready to be enjoyed as a Silver City Brewing Company signature beer.

The entire brewing and fermenting process takes from seven to 10 days for ales and 20 to 30 days for lagers.
